About Us
Dead People's Stuff Antiques is a
collaborative effort on the part of Sue and Terry Hierlihy and brother Doug
Hierlihy. We began over 15 years ago selling on Sundays from the old
Stittsville Flea Market after Saturdays spent at local auctions in the Ottawa
Valley. We then began travelling
to antique shows across Ontario; and as the years passed our backs got older
and our enthusiasm for packing, lifting and driving diminished. Life
circumstances changed, and Sue and Terry made the move to a bricks and mortar
shop on their property in Prince Edward County in 2005.
Today, Sue is the chief buyer, Terry is the
passionate salesman and Doug is the tool man, providing the shop with
beautifully refurbished vintage tools and other 'mantiques.' Dead People's
Stuff has found a home in the beautiful village of Bloomfield, Prince Edward
County.
What We Sell
Dead People's Stuff Antiques stocks a mix
of country pine furniture, both painted and refinished, cottage décor, vintage
tools, treasures for the garden, kitchen benches, bedroom pieces, trunks,
boxes, chairs, linens, lighting and an ever-changing assortment of desirables,
oddities and eclectics. And every once in a while we find an awesome walnut
table, oak sideboard, or a formal chair that we can't leave behind, and we help
them find new homes too.
